Something To Celebrate: Pulling Things Out of the Drawer

This week I finally went through a pile of old blog posts that had just been sitting on Blogger — not doing much of anything — and started sorting them to move over to Medium. What I thought would take an hour turned into a whole thing: rereading, reconsidering, noticing which pieces still felt like me and which ones I'd quietly outgrown.
There's something I didn't expect in that process, which was how much the old work had to say. Not because it was particularly good or particularly bad, but because it existed. I wrote those posts, and then life kept moving, and they just waited. I think sometimes the things we've already made deserve a second look before we go making more — not to judge them, but just to acknowledge that they happened. That felt like enough of a reason to pull them out of the drawer.
Whenever something like this happens, my instinct is always the same — find a little something to mark it.
