Something To Celebrate: World Cancer Day

It's one of those big, important dates on the global calendar, designed to bring awareness to a topic that touches far too many lives. Now, my brain, being the wonderfully intricate (and easily overwhelmed) machine it is, often finds these grand, significant days a bit... much. Especially when I'm still trying to locate that one sock and remember if I turned off the coffee maker. It's a heavy subject, and sometimes, the sheer weight of it can feel daunting, making you want to retreat under a blanket with a strong cup of tea. But even on a day dedicated to something so serious, there's always, always something to celebrate.
