Something To Celebrate: The Morning I Chose the Hard Thing First

Before my actual job even started this morning, I found myself hunting down a bug in my own code. Not doomscrolling. Not easing into the day with my phone. Just… working on something that needed figuring out.
That's not a dramatic story. Nobody's going to make a movie about it. But I've been thinking about how much of real growth looks exactly like that — quiet, unglamorous, barely worth mentioning. Except it is worth mentioning, because the version of me from a year ago would have reached for the phone first without even thinking about it. Today I didn't. I noticed that. The small shifts are still shifts.
Whenever something like this happens, my instinct is always the same — find a little something to mark it.
