Something To Celebrate: Catching the Drift

This week I caught myself writing blog CTAs that sounded like I was handing out consulting advice — all polished and arm's-length and not at all like me. I went back and fixed them. Small edit, but it mattered.
There's something worth noticing in that little correction. It's easy to slip into the voice you think you're supposed to use, especially in writing that's meant to be professional or persuasive. But when I read those lines back and thought, I would never actually say that to someone — that was the signal. Staying true to how you actually talk isn't a style choice. It's a honesty choice. And catching the drift early, before it becomes a habit, feels like exactly the kind of small thing that's worth celebrating.
Whenever something like this happens, my instinct is always the same — find a little something to mark it.
