Something To Celebrate: The Bug That Was Hiding in Plain Sight

Today I found out that a newsletter script I built had two functions with the same name — and they'd been quietly fighting each other the whole time. Not dramatically, not in any way that announced itself. Just a silent conflict sitting inside something I thought was working fine. Catching it felt like a real win.
There's something worth noticing about the bugs that don't crash anything. They're the ones that are easiest to leave alone, easiest to miss, easiest to tell yourself aren't worth the trouble of tracking down. But when you do find one — when you sit with something long enough to see what's actually going on underneath — that moment of clarity is its own kind of reward. A lot of good work looks like that. Not a dramatic fix, just patient attention finally paying off.
Whenever something like this happens, my instinct is always the same — find a little something to mark it.
