Something To Celebrate: International Widows' Day

Did you know today, June 23rd, is International Widows' Day? It's a day designated by the UN to shine a light on the experiences of widows globally, advocating for their rights and well-being. A rather meaningful intention, if you ask me.
For many, this day quietly acknowledges a unique journey – one often filled with unexpected strength, newfound independence, and a surprising amount of figuring things out on the fly. It's not always grand gestures; sometimes it's just successfully wrestling a duvet cover or finally understanding the cryptic instructions for a flat-pack shelf.
Because even in the midst of all the 'adulting' and navigating new waters, remember there's always a quiet win to acknowledge. Perhaps it's an uninterrupted cup of coffee, a chapter read in peace, or simply the sheer audacity of getting through another Tuesday with your sanity mostly intact. There's always something.
So, on this particular day, consider carving out a tiny, delicious moment just for you. Permission granted to enjoy that extra square of chocolate, or to simply revel in five minutes of blissful quiet. You’ve earned it, and then some.
