Something To Celebrate: International Fairy Day

Happy International Fairy Day! Yes, apparently, June 24th is officially the day we acknowledge the potential for tiny, mischievous, or benevolent beings to flit around our world. Not exactly a widely observed bank holiday, but charming nonetheless.
Now, I’m not saying we should all start leaving out saucers of milk for woodland sprites (unless you want to, I won't tell). But there's something rather lovely about having a day dedicated to the unseen, the quietly magical. It's an invitation to notice the way sunlight catches dust motes just right, or the surprising resilience of a single wildflower pushing up through a crack in the pavement. That flicker of quiet wonder when you find a perfectly smooth, interesting stone? That's fairy energy, in my humble, often-indoors opinion.
It’s a gentle nudge that there's always something to celebrate, even if it's just the possibility of a little hidden enchantment, or simply the quiet joy of a good book and a warm cup of tea on a perfectly ordinary day.
So, whether you're actively searching for miniature folk or just appreciating the small, overlooked details of your everyday, maybe today's the day to let a little wonder in. And perhaps resist the urge to buy wings for your cat. Or don't. Your call.
